EA's Battlefield Studios Unveils Battlefield Labs, Offering Early Access to the Next Battlefield Game
EA has launched Battlefield Labs, a program giving select players early access to the next Battlefield game. This isn't a traditional beta; instead, it's an opportunity to provide crucial feedback on a work-in-progress build.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs allows fans to participate in early, remote playtests. Selected participants will get a sneak peek at the game's development, providing feedback on core gameplay elements like combat, map design, and balance. EA will initially focus on a few thousand players in Europe and North America, expanding to other regions and more players later. The program will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing:
Unlike traditional betas, Battlefield Labs offers access to a much earlier, less polished version of the game. Expect more bugs and technical issues. In exchange for this, EA seeks valuable feedback to shape the game's development. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs:
The next Battlefield game is slated for release in EA's fiscal year 2026 (before April 1, 2026). Battlefield Labs offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of the franchise.
