Silent Hill 2 Remake: PS5 Exclusivity, Xbox and Switch Release Possible in 2025Recent news surrounding the Silent Hill 2 remake, gleaned from a newly released trailer, confirms its October 2024 launch date for PS5 and PC, while hinting at a wider console release in the future.

Silent Hill 2 Remake: A Year of PlayStation Exclusivity

Experience Enhanced Gameplay with the PS5 DualSense Controller

The "Silent Hill 2 - Immersion Trailer" on the PlayStation YouTube channel reveals that the Silent Hill 2 remake will enjoy at least a year of PS5 exclusivity. The game arrives on PS5 and PC on October 8th, 2024. The trailer's closing moments explicitly state that the Silent Hill 2 remake is a "PlayStation 5 console exclusive," with Sony adding that it "is not available on other formats until 10.08.2025."

Given that a PlayStation 6 release isn't anticipated before then, this suggests the possibility of a future release on other platforms, including Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.

Currently, the PC version is available on Steam. Sony's announcement also hints at potential releases on other PC platforms such as Epic Games Store and GOG by next year. However, this remains speculation until officially confirmed.
