Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Last Chance to Save $300

Sonos rarely discounts its popular speakers, making it a smart move to take advantage of a good sale when one appears. Currently, Amazon and Walmart are offering the Sonos Arc soundbar, one of Sonos' top models, for just $599 after a significant $300 instant discount. This model seems to have been discontinued in favor of the new Arc Ultra. It's sold out on the Sonos website and is unlikely to return, except perhaps in the Refurbished section.

The Arc was Sonos' flagship soundbar until the launch of the Arc Ultra, which retails for $1,000 and has yet to see any discounts. This premium 45" soundbar features eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers. It supports Dolby Atmos with two dedicated height channels. The Arc easily integrates with other Sonos speakers and subs, making it an excellent choice for those seeking superior sound without the complexities of AV setup. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and more. The soundbar also has a built-in microphone for voice commands.

The new Arc Ultra is actually worth the price premium

While the Arc Ultra shares a similar design and dimensions with the Arc (being 1.5" wider, 0.4" shorter, and 0.4" shallower), it boasts a significant upgrade in its internals. It contains fourteen speakers, including seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer. The Arc Ultra delivers larger, cleaner bass and enhanced dialogue clarity. It also includes Bluetooth, a feature missing from the original Arc.
