Terminator 2D: NO FATE Announced – A New Game Set in the Terminator Universe
Studio Bitmap Bureau's retro side-scrolling game, inspired by Terminator 2: Judgment Day, promises a fresh take on the iconic film. While drawing inspiration from the movie's plot, the developers guarantee original storylines and multiple endings, ensuring replayability. Key scenes from the original film will remain faithfully recreated.
Players will assume the roles of the T-800, Sarah Connor, and the adult John Connor, each offering a unique gameplay experience. Confront the T-1000 as the T-800 and Sarah Connor, or lead the resistance as John Connor.
The trailer showcases the franchise's memorable theme music and iconic moments, reinterpreted in a charming pixel art style. Beyond the main campaign, several arcade modes will provide additional challenges.
The game launches September 5th, 2025, across current-generation consoles and PC.
