The eagerly awaited Update 7.0 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is now accessible through its first public test server (PTS), offering PC players a sneak peek at the upcoming changes. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have released preliminary patch notes for this PTS version, although they caution that the final 7.0 patch notes may differ due to ongoing development and bug fixes.

Update 7.0 brings a wealth of new content and improvements. Players can dive into a new PvE mission called "Exfiltration," wield a new secondary weapon—the Inferno Pistol—available for the Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes, and experience new endgame-focused prestige ranks in PvE. PvP enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of private lobbies, allowing for more personalized gameplay experiences.

For fans of customization, Update 7.0 introduces new colors such as Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue, along with options for Bulwark cloth and hands recoloring. PvP rewards have been boosted by 50%, and exclusive skins like the Imperial Fists Champion for the Tactical class and the Space Wolves Champion for the Vanguard class add to the excitement.

Significant balance changes are also part of this update, with an expanded weapon arsenal in PvE that grants all classes a broader selection of weapons. Notably, the Assault class can now use the Power Sword without mods. Detailed adjustments to various weapons and perks are outlined in the patch notes, ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience.

A notable gameplay improvement comes to the Inferno Operation, addressing previous issues with griefing. If a player reaches the assembly area in the final stage, other players will be teleported there after a short delay, ensuring progress isn't stalled by players remaining outside the area.

With these updates and enhancements, Space Marine 2 continues to evolve, promising a richer and more engaging experience for its dedicated fanbase. Players are encouraged to explore the PTS and provide feedback to help shape the final version of Update 7.0.
