Xbox Developer Direct Debut Date Revealed

Xbox Developer Direct 2025: January 23rd Showcase Announced

Microsoft has announced the next Xbox Developer Direct, scheduled for January 23rd, marking the first Xbox game showcase of 2025. This will be the third annual Xbox Developer Direct event, following successful showcases in January 2023 and 2024.

The event, starting at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch. This announcement follows earlier rumors circulating on January 9th predicting a January announcement.

Confirmed Games for Xbox Developer Direct 2025:

• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, targeting a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
• Doom: The Dark Ages: From id Software, initially announced in June 2024 and showcased with a playable demo at QuakeCon 2024. Currently rumored for a mid-2025 release.
• South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (creators of Contrast and We Happy Few), originally announced in June 2023. A release date is expected.

While these three titles are confirmed, previous Developer Directs have lasted over 40 minutes and showcased multiple games. The 2024 event featured titles like Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Visions of Mana. Expect similar surprises this year.
