Zenless Zone Zero is excited to announce the return of previously released S-Rank agents in its upcoming Version 1.5 update, starting with Ellen Joe and Qingyi. Characters play a pivotal role in HoYoverse's engaging games like Zenless Zone Zero, where they are available for limited periods, encouraging players to spend their currency to unlock them.

In contrast to other HoYoverse flagship titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero has not previously featured rerun banners, instead focusing on introducing new agents with each update. There was anticipation that the much-awaited Version 1.4 update would introduce rerun banners, following the model of Genshin Impact, but no such feature was added. However, HoYoverse has now confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero will introduce rerun banners in the upcoming Version 1.5 update.

With the arrival of Version 1.5 in Zenless Zone Zero, players who missed earlier opportunities or have recently joined the game will have the chance to acquire previously released agents. The Version 1.5 Special Program revealed that Phase 1, starting on January 22, will feature the Ether agent Astra Yao alongside a special rerun banner for Ellen Joe, who debuted in Version 1.1. Additionally, Ellen's Agent Story will be added to enrich the gameplay experience.

Following the pattern of previous updates, Version 1.5 will be divided into two phases, with the second phase commencing on February 12 and introducing new banners. During Phase 2, Zenless Zone Zero will add Evelyn Chevalier and bring back the PubSec Agent, Qingyi, who was featured in the latter half of Version 1.1. Both rerun banners will also reintroduce their specific W-Engines, allowing players to fully equip these characters with their signature gear.

The Version 1.5 special program also confirmed rumors about new character outfits for Zenless Zone Zero. HoYoverse unveiled three new outfits that players can unlock with Version 1.5: "Chandelier" for Astra, "On Campus" for Ellen, and "Cunning Cutie" for Nicole. Notably, the "Cunning Cutie" outfit for Nicole will be available for free as a reward from the Day of Brilliant Wishes limited-time event.
