Using the App and Scanner Together:
The FreeStyle Libre 2 scanner and the app operate independently; signals are sent to either the phone or the scanner, but not both simultaneously. To receive alerts on your phone, initiate the sensor via the app. Scanner initiation requires using the scanner itself. Sensors initiated with a scanner remain scannable with the phone.
Important Note: The app and scanner don't communicate directly. For complete data, scan the sensor with your chosen device every 8 hours; otherwise, reports will be incomplete. LibreView.com provides a centralized platform to access data from all your devices.
