Experience Minnesota Whist, a captivating partnership card game for smartphones and tablets! Play for free, track your progress, and challenge yourself against intelligent AI opponents.

Unlike traditional Whist, Minnesota Whist is a unique variant popular in Minnesota and South Dakota, distinguished by its absence of trumps. The objective shifts depending on the bid: "high" bids aim for seven or more tricks, while "low" bids target six or fewer.

This simple yet strategic game is perfect for honing your card skills and developing teamwork. Outsmart your AI partner’s opponents in fast-paced rounds, ideal for learning and mastering trick-taking games. Increase the difficulty to "hard" mode once you're ready for a true test of skill! Victory requires collaborative strategy with your AI partner to reach the win target (either 13 or 7 tricks).

Monitor your performance with detailed session and all-time statistics to track your improvement! Personalize your game experience with numerous customization options:

  • Choose your win target.
  • Enable or disable the "set bonus."
  • Select easy, medium, or hard difficulty levels.
  • Opt for normal or fast gameplay.
  • Play in landscape or portrait mode.
  • Toggle single-click play.
  • Sort cards in ascending or descending order.
  • Replay hands from the play or bid stages.
  • Review previous hands played in each round.
  • Customize color themes and card decks.

Quickfire Rules:

Four players receive an equal number of cards. Each player bids "high" (black card) or "low" (red card), revealing their bid cards sequentially, starting to the dealer's left. The first player to reveal a black card "grands," and the round becomes a "high" bid (teams strive for maximum tricks). If all bids are red, the round is "low" (teams aim for minimal tricks).

In "high" bid rounds, the player to the right of the "granding" player leads the first trick. In "low" bid rounds, the player to the left of the dealer leads. Players follow suit if possible; otherwise, they play any card. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick. The trick winner leads the next trick.

Scoring: In "high" bid rounds, the "granding" team earns a point for each trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team earns one or two points per trick over six, depending on the "set bonus" setting. In "low" bid rounds, teams earn one point for each trick under seven.
