Coromon Rogue Planet mobile game rating

After TRAGsoft successfully brought their monster collecting RPG *Coromon* to mobile following its PC and Switch launch, the developers are now crafting an exciting roguelite sequel. *Coromon: Rogue Planet* (Free) is coming next year to Steam, Switch, iOS and Android, promising to blend the original's strategic turn-based combat with fresh roguelite elements for endless replayability.

The new spin-off boasts impressive features according to its Steam page - including 10 procedurally-generated biomes, 7 unique playable characters, and a monster roster exceeding 130 creatures. Check out the official announcement trailer below:

While the original *Coromon* remains free-to-play on mobile, it'll be interesting to see how *Coromon: Rogue Planet* performs on smartphones and whether it launches simultaneously with other platforms. You can currently wishlist the game on Steam.

Though I haven't played *Coromon* recently, *Rogue Planet* seems like a more compelling experience - particularly as a perfect bite-sized mobile game based on the Steam screenshots. Until release, players can enjoy the original *Coromon* for free on iOS. What are your thoughts on this roguelite adaptation? Have you tried the original game?
