NCSoft has unexpectedly announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title, Battle Crush. This comes as a surprise, especially given the game hadn't even reached its full release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access launch in June 2024, the game's servers are slated for closure.
Battle Crush will officially shut down on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. However, players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.
Refunds for Android and Steam users will be processed between December 2nd, 2024, and January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward. The official website will remain active until May 30th, 2025, for support purposes. Social media and Discord channels will close on January 31st, 2025.
While disappointing for invested players, Battle Crush's EOS isn't entirely shocking. The game faced challenges, with some players citing clunky controls and pacing issues. While enjoyable, it seemingly lacked the polish needed for long-term success.
Before the final shutdown, players can still find Battle Crush on the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our upcoming coverage of Black Desert Mobile's story-driven Autumn Season quests.
