Forza Horizon 4 to be Removed from Digital Stores in December 2024
Get ready to say goodbye to Forza Horizon 4 on digital storefronts. Microsoft has announced that the critically acclaimed open-world racing game will be delisted from the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass on December 15, 2024. This means you won't be able to purchase the game or any additional content after that date.
Launched in 2018, Forza Horizon 4 captivated over 24 million players (as of November 2020) with its stunning recreation of the UK and thrilling gameplay. Despite its popularity, expiring licenses for in-game content necessitate its removal.
While DLC purchases will cease on June 25, 2024, players can still buy the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions until the December delisting. The final in-game series, Series 77, runs from July 25 to August 22. Afterward, the playlist screen will be unavailable, but daily and weekly challenges and Forzathon Live events will remain accessible via the Forza Events screen.
Existing owners can continue playing without interruption, and Game Pass subscribers with active subscriptions who own DLC will receive a game token to maintain access. This delisting follows a similar fate for Forza Horizon 3, highlighting the challenges faced by racing games due to licensing agreements.
Don't miss your chance to grab Forza Horizon 4! Take advantage of the current 80% Steam discount, or wait for the upcoming Xbox Store sale on August 14.
