Rockstar has finally released the second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, and fans are immediately asking: what's the song in the latest GTA 6 trailer?
While the two-and-a-half-minute video highlights the action and romance of Vice City, it also reminds viewers that Rockstar's soundtracks are always packed with great music. True to form, this second trailer is backed by The Pointer Sisters' 'Hot Together'. It's another '80s hit that isn't heard much on today's radio, and it perfectly sets the tone for the Grand Theft Auto team's next open-world adventure.
'Hot Together' is the title track from the California trio's 1986 pop R&B album, running four minutes and 13 seconds. Beyond being a quintessentially '80s dance track, it feels perfectly at home in this reimagined Vice City. Though it wasn't among The Pointer Sisters' top 10 most-streamed songs on Spotify when this article was published, that's likely to change as the day goes on.
Grand Theft Auto 6 was first officially unveiled with its debut trailer in December 2023. That dreamy look at Rockstar's new world featured Tom Petty's 'Love Is a Long Road'. Along with giving the song a major popularity boost, the footage sparked fan theories about how the track might hint at GTA 6's story and characters. Fans will undoubtedly be dissecting 'Hot Together' in the same way as we await the game's launch next year.
