Following its closed beta phase, Riot Games' League of Legends fighting title 2XKO will launch its early access on October 7, 2025.
The 2v2 fighter, showcasing characters from League of Legends and Arcane, becomes available to all PC players without requiring invitation codes. Today's announcement didn't specify console releases.
According to Riot, early access begins with Season 0 and introduces the game's tenth champion. All unlocked content—including champions, skins, and mastery rewards—will carry over to the full release.
Throughout 2026, 2XKO will roll out five seasonal updates, each adding a new champion alongside gameplay content and progression rewards.

Executive producer Tom Cannon described early access as "the next evolution for 2XKO."
"We're grateful to our closed beta participants," Cannon added. "Your enthusiasm and insights have strengthened the game, paving the way for this milestone. Early access represents just the start of our journey."

Separately, Riot unveiled First Impact—a program sponsoring 22 community tournaments across the Americas, Europe, and Asia through 2025. These events will maintain independent organization while receiving Riot-funded prize pools.
First Impact winners claiming first place earn the Duo Bounty—an additional $2,500 prize—along with exclusive Local Legend titles for their 2XKO profiles.
The inaugural Riot-backed tournament, Evo France: 2 NICE KO hosted by The MIXUP Crew, runs October 10-12 in Nice, France.
