LEGO CEO Niels Christiansen has shared exciting news about the company’s future, announcing plans to enhance its digital footprint by delving deeper into the world of video games. This strategy includes developing new titles on their own as well as through strategic partnerships, signaling a robust expansion into digital entertainment.
“We are confident that, as long as we operate under the LEGO brand, we aim to create experiences for children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Developing games internally is something we are actively pursuing.” Niels Christiansen
This ambitious move towards in-house game development does not mean LEGO will halt its collaborations with external developers. Just last month, journalist Jason Schreier revealed that TT Games, renowned for their LEGO-themed games, is currently developing a new LEGO title, potentially linked to one of Warner Bros.' popular franchises.

Currently, LEGO's most notable gaming endeavor is its continued partnership with Epic Games. The introduction of a LEGO-themed mode in Fortnite last year was a massive success, quickly becoming one of the game's most beloved features. This collaboration underscores LEGO's commitment to blending its iconic brand with digital play.
Over the past two decades, LEGO has been a staple in the adventure game genre, thanks to TT Games. Although the studio has been relatively quiet about new projects, whispers in the gaming community hint at a potential LEGO Harry Potter game, inspired by the commercial success of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Further demonstrating its adaptability in the gaming sector, LEGO teamed up with 2K Games to launch LEGO 2K Drive, a racing game that hit the market last year. This venture showcases LEGO's ability to diversify its presence across various gaming genres.
