Monster Hunter Now Unveils Summer Hunt 2025: Sea of Monsters

Niantic has unveiled new information about the upcoming Sea of Monsters event in Monster Hunter Now. This event is part of the Summer Hunt 2025, introducing the formidable Elder Dragon Namielle to the game for the very first time.

Namielle Is Truly Unique

It envelops itself in water and conducts electricity through it, unleashing massive explosive attacks that can overwhelm hunters who are not ready. The creature even possesses a specialized internal organ for generating electricity. To effectively battle Namielle, you must target its weaknesses: fire, poison, and blast damage.

If you're ready for the fight, you can participate in Elder Dragon Interceptions and Namielle-focused Hunt-a-thons from July 26th to 27th. Purchasing an event ticket provides additional advantages, such as removing the cooldown period after joining special hunts and granting access to exclusive Namielle Interceptions.

This allows you to challenge the new monster repeatedly without any waiting. Ticket holders will also receive Namielle-themed layered equipment as a special reward.

Prior to Namielle's arrival, the Monster Hunter Now Summer Hunt 2025: Seaside Vacation event begins on July 21st. Throughout this event, you can craft special weapons and armor with enhanced stats and extra skills.

The Main Attraction in the Sea of Monsters Is the Weaponry

Using materials from Namielle, you can craft a variety of weapons imbued with the water element. Your options include Sword & Shield, Long Sword, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow.

The armor set crafted from these materials is known as the Tentacle Set. It includes the Namielle Electrowave skill, which lessens damage from thunder-element monsters and increases your weapon's water element value.
