The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into one of Bethesda's landmark titles, enhancing visuals, gameplay mechanics, and more. Yet, the team at Virtuos made a point to preserve one of the original game's most memorable quirks.
Elder Scrolls aficionados will fondly recall Master Speechcraft trainer Tandilwe, a High Elf located in the Temple of the One within the Imperial City. When Oblivion first debuted on PC and Xbox 360 over 19 years ago, Tandilwe's speech left something to be desired. One of her lines famously included a blooper, where actress Linda Kenyon's voice could be heard attempting the line again.

As players embarked on their journey through the revamped world of Cyrodiil yesterday, many sought to discover the fidelity of the remaster. While the game boasts updated environments, character models, and items, fans have been delighted to find that cherished imperfections from the 2006 version remain. Tandilwe's now-iconic blooper is one such detail that players have celebrated for its return, complete with its original charm and lack of subtitles.

In a 2019 interview with YouTube channel Jake 'The Voice' Parr, Linda Kenyon addressed the infamous Oblivion blooper, humorously asserting, "It wasn't my fault!"
While thousands of players dive into Oblivion Remastered and debate whether it leans more towards a remake or a remaster, others are simply thrilled that many of its original quirks remain untouched. This preservation was a deliberate choice by Bethesda and Virtuos, and it's resonating positively with both new and returning players.
