The Pokémon Company Unveils Twin Expansions for Scarlet & Violet TCG Series

Mark your calendars - Scarlet & Violet: Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet: White Flare are set to launch worldwide on July 18, 2025. These complementary expansions bring back all 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region.

The expansions showcase legendary faces of Unova - Zekrom headlines Black Bolt while Reshiram leads White Flare. Collectors will discover three stunning parallel foil variants, including special editions featuring rainbow Poké Ball and Master Ball designs across the card surface.

Returning features include nostalgic Black & White era foil treatments and Basic Energy cards sporting original series designs. Each Unova Pokémon will appear as either an illustration rare or special illustration rare card, with variant artworks exclusive to each expansion.

While preorders haven't officially opened, industry insiders anticipate listings going live by mid-May, following the pattern established by the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Destined Rivals release.

August 1, 2025:

• Tech Sticker Collection: 3 boosters with Reuniclus/Gothitelle promo
• Victini Illustration Collection: 4 boosters featuring premium Victini variants

August 22, 2025:

• Booster Bundle: 6 packs from either expansion
