Prickle, a grid-based Tetris-inspired puzzle game from Sunbird Studio, is now officially available on Android and iOS. Drawing strong design cues from Sokoban-style challenges, the game invites you to follow the journey of a hedgehog family and help them navigate to their goal.
In this charming world, you'll meet DadHog. He is a devoted hedgehog father on a mission to gather his lost hoglet children and lead them back home. This is a maze adventure where every single step needs to be carefully considered.
The developer introduces the concept of a "Prickle"—a Tetris-like cluster that forms as hoglets attach themselves to DadHog and to one another. Once a hoglet connects to the group, it remains fixed in place.
Each new level increases the difficulty as your Prickle expands and becomes more challenging to control. Guiding this growing, cumbersome mass through narrow hedge-lined corridors and past obstacles is no simple feat. It calls for smart rotations and thoughtful pathfinding.
Prickle features 48 levels spanning four distinct seasons. Summer gently introduces you to basic navigation, while Autumn adds acorns that stick to your Prickle, increasing its size and complexity.
Winter introduces puddles. DadHog cannot cross water, though his hoglets may be required to do so. Meanwhile, Spring brings blossoms that will absorb any leftover acorns.
One of Prickle's most attractive features is its visual presentation. Every character, maze element, and even the menu text was hand-drawn using Godot and Krita. This creates a delightful pen-and-paper aesthetic that is full of character and charm.
The core visuals are entirely monochrome, but you have the choice to apply subtle color highlights. You can also switch the theme from black-on-white to a white-on-black display. Other thoughtful details enrich the experience, such as DadHog dozing off if you leave the game idle for a few minutes.

You can download Prickle on the Google Play Store. The complete game is priced at $4.99.
