Dive into the cooperative horror world of *R.E.P.O.*, where every mission is fraught with tension and unpredictability. As you navigate through abandoned and eerie locations to retrieve valuable items, you'll encounter a variety of terrifying monsters, each determined to halt your progress to the next level.
Each monster in *R.E.P.O.* boasts unique abilities, behaviors, and attack patterns, demanding that you adapt your strategies to ensure you and your team safely return to the truck. Some creatures stalk in silence before launching their attack, while others are audibly loud, making stealth impossible. Yet, this doesn't guarantee safety. Certain monsters are attracted to noise, compelling players to move silently, whereas others rely on sight, making it crucial to keep them in your line of sight to survive.
With such a diverse array of monsters, distinguishing between those that pose a real threat and those that are merely a nuisance can be challenging. However, understanding their behaviors and damage potential is key to surviving in *R.E.P.O.*. Knowledge truly is power in this survival game.
Tier 1 – Mostly a nuisance, can be helpful.
Tier 2 – Manageable unless you're overwhelmed.
Tier 3 – Lethal if you're caught off guard.
Tier 4 – The most dangerous monsters, capable of one-shotting players at lower levels.
Monster | Tier | Description |
Apex Predator (Duck) | 1 | Avoid touching it, but it can serve as a defense against the Huntsman if timed correctly. |
Gnomes | 1 | They inflict minimal damage and are easily dispatched. |
Animal | 1 | Individually, they cause little harm and can be picked up easily. They also eliminate any Gnomes they encounter. |
Hidden | 1 | Can transport you back to the truck or into a monster's path, but doesn't cause direct damage. |
Shadow Child | 1 | Remain unseen by it to avoid harm. |
Spewer | 1 | Once attached, it can be used against other monsters without harming you. |
Bowtie | 2 | Generally slow, but can speed up when provoked. Its breath is harmful, yet easily avoidable. |
Peeper | 2 | Causes minor damage when eye contact is made, but becomes dangerous in the presence of other monsters. |
Chef | 2 | They can collide and self-destruct. Staying elevated keeps you safe from them. |
Bangers | 2 | You have 10 seconds to escape once their dynamite is lit; the explosion is the real threat. |
Huntsman | 3 | Tracks by sound, so silence is your ally. Being shot by it can end your game. |
Rugrat | 3 | Extremely strong, capable of killing with thrown objects. A vase can be fatal to low-level players. |
Upscream | 3 | Similar to Animal but far more damaging. Multiple Upscreams can overwhelm you. |
Mentalist | 3 | Poor vision but acute hearing. Each hit inflicts 50 damage, and they can appear in groups. |
Trudge | 3 | Very slow and noisy, but deadly if it catches you, even with health upgrades. |
Reaper | 4 | Slow until it spots you, then it accelerates. Audible from a distance, but deadly without health upgrades. |
Clown | 4 | Charges upon sighting you, with a kick and a laser attack, both of which are lethal. |
Robe | 4 | Silent and stealthy, often spotting you first. Can maneuver under furniture and is deadly if it catches you. |
Headman | 4 | Relentlessly pursues you, with each bite dealing 50 damage. |
