While most players are familiar with Baldur's Gate 3's major romance options, several subtle encounters often go unnoticed. One particularly unique scenario involves meeting Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress, an easily overlooked interaction during a hectic game segment. This guide details how to locate and initiate romance with Naoise Nallinto.
Players must progress to Act III's initial stages before encountering Naoise. When approaching Baldur's Gate via Wyrm's Crossing, you'll be directed to meet Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a brothel situated along the eastern bridge approach to the city.
Those who've already explored the area can fast-travel using the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing waypoint, which deposits players directly outside the establishment.
Naoise resides in the distinctive Nymph's Grotto on the brothel's second floor. The chamber is accessible via an ivy-adorned door marked by green lighting—requiring a successful lockpick roll (DC10) for entry.
Upon entering, you'll interrupt Naoise's intimate moment with Jara, a Flaming Fist soldier. When the soldier's tadpole connects with yours, she transforms into a hostile Mind Flayer that must be defeated.
Post-combat, Naoise reveals unconventional tastes, expressing fascination with Mind Flayers. Critical dialogue options include:
Following successful Insight checks, deeper romantic options emerge. Selecting "What did you have in mind?" then "Close your eyes and listen" initiates the psychic encounter.
Naoise presents personality archetypes for your mental projection:
Choosing "Contented" triggers the psychic romance sequence. This fleeting connection can't be repeated—subsequent visits prompt Naoise to explain her single-use policy.
Notably, this encounter doesn't affect existing romantic relationships. Completing it earns the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration and the Rapture boon, granting a 1d6 bonus to most ability checks.
