Season 5 of Monster Hunter Now: The Blossoming Blade Arrives Soon!

Monster Hunter Now is preparing to unleash Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has revealed everything players can expect. This highly anticipated season introduces new monsters, weapon updates, a fresh Season Pass, and exciting gameplay enhancements, officially launching on March 6th, 2025.

Preparing for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Even before the season begins, players get an early surprise with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its first-ever appearance in any Monster Hunter title, debuting in Monster Hunter Now ahead of its inclusion in Monster Hunter Wilds. When Season 5 officially kicks off, Glavenus and Arzuros will also join the roster, bringing fresh hunting challenges and rewards.

Weapon balance updates are a major focus this season, designed to enhance playability and fairness across all weapon types. The Sword & Shield is receiving a significant upgrade, improving targeting precision for breaking weak points such as tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now deliver greater impact with well-timed taps, making combos more dynamic and rewarding.

The Guard skill is also getting a much-needed overhaul. Previously, increasing Guard level had minimal effect, but now higher levels will meaningfully reduce damage taken while blocking. Additional weapon adjustments will be detailed in the full patch notes releasing March 6th.

And There’s More!

Tired of a cluttered inventory? Season 5 delivers relief with the introduction of the Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item. This expansion adds 250 extra inventory slots, giving players more flexibility in managing their gear and materials.

Mark your calendars for March 17th—this date celebrates Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary with a brand-new feature: the ability to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards. Players can exchange these materials for useful items such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
