Production has officially commenced on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with star Tom Holland sharing photos of himself suited up and riding on a tank.
Filming for Holland's fourth solo adventure as the beloved web-slinger is currently taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, where a section of the city is being used for exterior shots featuring the actor alongside heavy military hardware.
Following last week's first glimpse of Holland's new Spider-Man suit, the star has now posted pictures of himself in full costume, secured by a harness and positioned atop a large armored vehicle.
Holland’s photos originated from his Instagram, captioned "Spider-Man Brand New Day 1." It's a thrilling way to mark the start of production, and since it's all happening in a public area, fan-recorded video of the actor on the tank is already circulating online.
Viewers should note some light Scottish swearing in the clip from TikTok user jamieg1510, as an excited fan spots the action and exclaims, "It's f***ing Spider-Man!" Indeed.

Scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, Brand New Day marks the exciting return of Tom Holland's Spider-Man after the emotional finale of 2021's No Way Home. In that film, following his farewell to fellow Spider-Men, Holland’s Peter Parker made the heartbreaking decision to have his love interest MJ (played by Holland’s real-life partner Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) forget he exists to keep them safe.
Brand New Day therefore begins with something of a clean slate and introduces a mostly new supporting cast—though Zendaya and Batalon are expected to return in smaller roles. Sadie Sink from Stranger Things is set to portray a key, yet-to-be-revealed character, while Jon Bernthal will reprise his recurring MCU role as Frank Castle / The Punisher.
A recent report also indicated that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Michael Mando's Scorpion will appear in the film. Close-up shots of the armored vehicle—likely the same one Holland is seen riding—show a revealing logo that could hint at the movie's true antagonist.
Spider-Man and the Hulk are two major Marvel characters not yet confirmed for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, which is also in production at Pinewood Studios in London. Jon Bernthal, meanwhile, is still filming his Punisher TV special in New York. All three MCU projects are currently slated for release next year.
