SHIFT UP, the game's developer, recently unveiled the trailer for its upcoming crossover DLC with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Posted on YouTube on May 22, the video immediately caught fans' attention thanks to the surprising inclusion of the quirky chibi-dog meme, Doro.

As the trailer reaches its conclusion, Doro pops up for a brief moment, interacting with Stellar Blade’s main character, Eve. The beloved online meme comes to life with full animation, striking poses, darting across the screen, and capping off the reveal with a mischievous laugh.

The Doro meme originated from fan art of Stella Unibell from "Soulworker," where she was reimagined as a chibi-style dog. It gained traction in Korean NIKKE communities, eventually inspiring a version featuring NIKKE’s Dorothy, now popularly known as "Dororong." Her adorable yet chaotic persona resonated worldwide, earning her nicknames like "Gremlin Dorothy" and making appearances beyond the NIKKE fandom.

Doro's popularity even caught the attention of SHIFT UP CEO Kim Hyung Tae, who was seen alongside his wife in 2024 with a Christmas-themed Doro plush. While Doro's specific role in the crossover remains a mystery, fans are both thrilled and amused by this unusual but fitting addition to the collaboration.

Stellar Blade x NIKKE Arrives on June 11

The eagerly awaited collaboration is set to launch on June 11, the same day Stellar Blade makes its debut on PC. As detailed on the official website, this expansion introduces a challenging new boss fight, NIKKE-inspired outfits and rewards, a fresh mini-game, and additional surprises.

The official description states, "Scarlet, a warrior from Shift Up’s acclaimed third-person shooter mobile game, steps into the fray to confront you in an epic one-on-one duel. Only by triumphing over this formidable boss can you unlock a new costume, hairstyle, and song for EVE."

A new mini-game inspired by NIKKE’s sci-fi shooter mechanics will also be available, and players can visit a special rewards shop operated by Volt, NIKKE's robotic canine companion, to browse themed outfits and cosmetics. A relaxing fishing activity joins the fun as well, where players can collect six exclusive NIKKE-themed items.

Specifics about the outfits and other collectible rewards included in the DLC have not yet been disclosed. Despite this, fans are delighted to see these two SHIFT UP titles unite, creating an exciting shared experience for both communities.
