Uma Musume Pretty Derby, the popular Japanese horse girl racing simulation game, is finally coming to the West! Cygames has confirmed an official English version, launching on Android and iOS.
The Big News:
An official English website, YouTube channel, and X (formerly Twitter) account have been created to keep fans updated on the global release. For those unfamiliar, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is part of a larger multimedia franchise including anime and manga, boasting a huge fanbase.
The game, originally released in Japan and Asia in February 2021, features horse girls—racehorses reincarnated as girls—competing in the "Twinkle Series" to become top idols. While a global release date is still unannounced, the game's free-to-play model is confirmed.
Characters from Uma Musume have already appeared in other global titles like Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, hinting at future crossovers once the English version launches.
When Can I Play?
No firm release date has been given, but you can stay informed via the official website. However, a playable demo of the English version will be available at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles (July 4th-7th).
