Fatshark has revealed the upcoming content expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, named Nightmares & Visions. Launching March 25, 2025 across all platforms, this update introduces a compelling new activity designed by the mysterious Seferon. The centerpiece is the Mortis Trials, where players battle through waves of enemies within psychic visions created by the ship's psyker. Each trial features dynamic gameplay thanks to randomly generated buffs and abilities players can choose before entering combat.
As players explore these visions, they'll uncover exclusive story insights connected to the Mourning Star narrative. The update also enhances Havoc Mode with fresh trials featuring four new mutators to increase difficulty. Ogryn mains will enjoy a redesigned talent tree offering improved gameplay options. A special limited-time event will accompany the update's launch.
Fatshark plans to share more details about Nightmares & Visions in upcoming weeks. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is playable now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The procedural nature of Mortis Trials ensures no two runs will play the same, with players selecting from randomized buffs and abilities before each attempt. This roguelike-inspired system promises fresh challenges even for veteran operatives.
Beyond the new trials, the update addresses long-requested player feedback:
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide continues its grimdark co-op action on all major platforms, with the Nightmares & Visions expansion arriving March 25, 2025.
