Techland Unveils New Raid Mode for Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2's latest addition, Tower Raid, is a thrilling roguelite-style game mode that throws players into unpredictable, high-stakes survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, offering a completely new perspective on the infected city.

Unlike the main game, players won't control Aiden Caldwell. Instead, they choose from four distinct warrior classes—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist—each with unique abilities and combat styles, encouraging diverse strategies and teamwork. For the ultimate test, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team size.

The mode boasts three difficulty levels: Quick, Normal, and Elite, each impacting the intensity and duration of the climb. Procedural generation ensures every playthrough is unique, with ever-changing floor layouts and enemy encounters demanding adaptability and quick thinking.

Tower Raid features a dynamic progression system. Every failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, gradually increasing the chances of success on subsequent runs. A mysterious merchant, Sola, awaits at the tower's peak, offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their mettle.

While Techland prepares for the launch of Dying Light: The Beast, their commitment to Dying Light 2 continues throughout 2025. Future updates promise enhanced co-op, refined matchmaking, deeper community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a whole new weapon class, prologue improvements, and significant graphical and technical upgrades.
