Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system for *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. While the expansion is slated to launch post-*The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, the early previews have sparked significant interest among the player base with promises of unparalleled customization options.

In a recent developer blog, Blizzard showcased in-game videos demonstrating the functionality of furniture placement. The system employs a grid system with automatic snapping features, making it easy for players to align and arrange their furnishings. Additionally, players can enhance larger objects like shelves or tables by decorating them with smaller accessories that remain attached even when the larger item is moved.

The housing system comes with two distinct modes to cater to different player preferences. The Basic Mode offers a straightforward approach to organizing your space, perfect for those who prefer simplicity. On the other hand, the Advanced Mode is designed for creative builders, allowing for object rotation across all three axes and the ability to stack items in innovative ways. This mode opens up the possibility of crafting intricate and visually stunning interiors.

Another exciting feature is the ability to scale objects, which is particularly beneficial given the variety of character sizes in *World of Warcraft*. This means that smaller races like gnomes can create more intimate, cozy spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive and grand layouts. Furthermore, certain new furniture pieces will support recoloring, adding another layer of personalization, although legacy items may not have this capability.

With *Midnight* still on the horizon, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by regularly teasing new content and features. This strategy not only builds anticipation but also keeps the excitement alive for future updates within the game.
