inZOI developers have addressed and resolved a concerning gameplay bug that allowed vehicle collisions with child characters. The team has now implemented a permanent fix.

During the Early Access period, players discovered an unsettling mechanic that permitted vehicular interactions with child characters. A March 28 Reddit post titled "I don't think Krafton realizes you can hit children in inZOI" showcased disturbing footage where a vehicle impact sent a child character flying with exaggerated physics.
While developers previously mentioned various character mortality scenarios during the inZOI Online Showcase, they hadn't specified these mechanics applied to children. Krafton representatives clarified to Eurogamer that this was an unintended bug, now resolved in the latest update.
"These representations were completely unintentional and contradict inZOI's design philosophy," a Krafton spokesperson stated. "We take this matter seriously and are enhancing our compliance protocols to prevent similar issues moving forward."

Despite maintaining "Very Positive" Steam reviews praising its visual fidelity, Game Director Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim acknowledged the complications of their realistic approach.
"The visual realism created constant creative dilemmas," Kim told PCGamesN. "While we wanted to include humorous elements, they often clashed with the authentic art direction we established."

Kim cited The Sims 4's playful aesthetic as inspiration, but noted the different creative constraints of inZOI's photo-realistic style. "We believe our immersive graphics offer unique experiences that will captivate players," he added, expressing pride in their technical achievements while recognizing ongoing development challenges.
The team continues refining inZOI's identity as it develops into a serious competitor within the life simulation genre.
