Tarot Cards are among the riskiest Cursed Possessions in *Phasmophobia*, but they also offer potentially significant advantages. For safety, use them in a secure location, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance. This allows for a quick escape if you draw an unfavorable card, like Death.

Each card has a unique, immediate effect. However, there's a chance you'll draw The Fool (similar to a Joker), resulting in no effect. You can draw up to 10 cards without impacting your sanity. Duplicate cards will have the same effect as the original.

Ten distinct cards are possible:

Tarot CardEffectDraw Chance
The TowerDoubles ghost activity for 20 seconds20%
The Wheel of FortuneGains 25% sanity (green burn); loses 25% sanity (red burn)20%
The HermitConfines the ghost to its favorite room for 1 minute (doesn't affect hunts or events)10%

The MoonCompletely drains sanity to 0%5%

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions, or Cursed Objects, are unique items that randomly appear on contract maps (depending on difficulty and Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment, which aids in ghost identification with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer gameplay manipulation at a higher risk to your character. The risk-reward balance varies between objects.

There's no penalty for not using them, but also no bonus for doing so. Only one spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings), always in the same location. Examples include the Voodoo Doll (always in the Garage at 6 Tanglewood Drive).

Seven Cursed Objects exist: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle.

This concludes our guide on using Tarot Cards in *Phasmophobia*. For more *Phasmophobia* guides, news, achievements, and trophy unlocking strategies, check out The Escapist.
