Krafton's breakout hit inZOI has shattered records, surpassing 1 million copies sold within its first week - marking the fastest sales milestone in the South Korean publisher's history.
The Sims-style life simulator launched on Steam Early Access on March 28, immediately making waves when players discovered unintended dark humor mechanics involving children. Developers swiftly addressed what they termed a "technical glitch" through patches.
Despite this rocky start, player reception remains overwhelmingly positive with Steam's 'Very Positive' rating. The game dominated streaming platforms too, hitting 175,000 concurrent Twitch viewers (ranking #3 overall) while skyrocketing to Steam's global top seller spot mere minutes after launch.
The game's Canvas UGC platform exploded with activity - over 1.2 million users and nearly half a million creations shared on debut day alone.
Our IGN review scored inZOI a 6/10, praising its visual ambition while noting Early Access limitations: "This life simulator dazzles the eyes but currently lacks substantive depth."
Krafton credits strategic pre-launch marketing and transparent community engagement for the title's success. Their global showcase events and demo builds reportedly generated exceptional buzz.
"We're thrilled to share inZOI globally through Early Access," said CEO CH Kim. "This marks the beginning of our commitment to cultivating inZOI as Krafton's next flagship franchise."

Looking ahead, Krafton promises free content updates including mod support and additional cities prior to full release. The team acknowledges growing pains, vowing rapid April hotfixes while navigating unprecedented community scale: "We're learning optimal communication methods through trial and error," they admitted.
